Supermodel Minh Tu to join Miss Vietnam Heritage Global

The casting began in Hanoi on June 11 at Pullman Hotel. It will come to other cities in June: Ha Long on June 14, Hai Phong - 15, Hochiminh City - 19, Can Tho - 20, Da Nang - 21 and Hue - 22. Semi-final for the Northern area will be held on June 30 while Semi-final for Southern area will be on July 14.

Regarding the reason to choose casting locations, organizers’ representative stated that these cities are the the hubs that usually attract most of the beauty pageant’s registrations. In fact, those cities are also the places of birth of many beauties. For instance, Hai Phong is well-known as the “homeland” of beautiful ladies.

Significantly, in Miss Vietnam 2000, half of the contestants who made it to the final were from the port city (Hai Phong). Most recently, Miss Universe Vietnam - Pham Thi Huong also was born here. In the past, in Miss Vietnam 2004, Nguyen Thi Huyen from Hai Phong won the crown. There are beauty academies in Hai Phong which train young ladies to become beauty queens.

Although not having as much as achievements as Hai Phong, Ha Long and Hanoi are also well-known with many of their beauties are the winners of beauty pageants. Ha Long is also the place where many beauty contests were held.

In the casting, the contestants have to go through the selection process, including: anthropometric measurement, self introduction, talent show and catwalk. The judges for this selection round are: Designer Duc Hung, Choreographer Tran Ly Ly and Miss Vietnam Ha Kieu Anh.

The great effects from the casting and semi-finals in the US have contributed to attracting young people to register for the casting round in Vietnam. Notably, among the contestants, there is a well-known name in the showbiz recently - the sexy supermodel with character - Minh Tu. Despite being just 24 years old, Minh Tu has reached a lot of significant achievements, such as: 1-Runner up of Vietnam Supermodel 2013, winning over 500 international candidates to be in top 50 supermodels to perform in Oscar de la Renta in Singapore Fashion Week 2014. Minh Tu is known as “the Vietnamese Angelina Jolie” thanks to her efforts to “makeover” her appearances.


Miss Vietnam Heritage Global is coming to its most important phases. Many beauties were chosen in the selection round in the US. Those beautiful contestants not only have the hidden beauty of Vietnam women but also have the strong, dynamic and modern beauty. The results in the USA are close to the selection criteria of the beauty pageant. However, the large number of excellent contestants in the US also makes the selection in Vietnam become more intense. Moreover, the beauty of intelligence and integration mindset is also a crucial point.

The final of Miss Vietnam Heritage Global will be held at the Resorts complex, including FLC Sam Son, FLC Quy Nhon and FLC Vinh Phuc. The Final night will be live broadcast on VTV6 channel of Vietnam National Television.
